Practice Manager

About the Role

You will lead in-clinic operational initiatives, fostering collaboration between clinics, doctors, central leadership, regional leadership, and the broader care team. This role involves owning the clinic's P&L, driving KPIs for both fee-for-service and value-based care, and managing staffing, supplies, and daily clinic coverage.

Responsibilities

• Own clinic P&L, including KPIs such as visits, charges, patient enrollment, patient engagement, admits per thousand, staffing, and supplies ordering.
• Build effective teams through partnership with providers and clinic staff, including recruiting, hiring, performance management, and minimizing turnover.
• Ensure daily clinic coverage and appropriate staffing levels.
• Drive clinic referral conversion, monitor physician schedule templates, and ensure adherence to scheduling cadence for high-risk patients.
• Solve operational problems in real-time and respond quickly to providers, clinic staff, and other care team members.
• Lead outreach efforts in local markets, developing relationships with PCPs and referring providers to generate clinic referrals.
• Maintain a strong, positive clinic culture, building trust and respect within the clinic environment.
• Make timely, high-quality decisions and provide regular data reporting to operational leadership.

Requirements

• Direct management experience over a clinic team.
• Healthcare management experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading and influencing diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrable success in leading initiatives, establishing goals, and motivating teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous experience with an EMR (athenahealth is a plus).

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Day-to-day work includes desk computer work and interaction with patients, facility staff, and physicians. The work environment is a climate-controlled healthcare facility with moderate noise levels.
