Practice Manager
About the role
The Practice Manager oversees the administrative operations of an outpatient medical clinic within Memorial Medical Group, supporting multiple providers and employees. This role involves anticipating and planning for future changes, maintaining positive relationships with staff, physicians, and APPs, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintains positive working relationships with staff, physicians, and APPs to enhance patient, staff, and provider satisfaction and improve group performance.
- Maintains par levels for medical and office supplies, medications, and oversees the maintenance of property, plant, and equipment.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external customers and coordinates educational activities.
- Monitors staff compliance with best practice processes and participates in quality improvement processes.
- Demonstrates awareness of patient rights and ensures their awareness among staff and providers.
- Administers and monitors practice operations expenditures, maximizes billing practices, and ensures compliance with regulations.
- Collaborates with public relations/marketing to promote practice growth and maintains compliance with corporate standards.
- Conducts monthly staff meetings, communicates departmental policies, and collaborates with support departments to ensure quality care.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred in business, healthcare management/administration, or a related healthcare field.
- 5+ years of experience in a medical practice setting or similar ambulatory or business setting.
- Extensive understanding of physician practice operations and management experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience in billing cycle, professional and facility coding, and compliance.
