Responsibilities
- Directs and supervises the day-to-day functions of the assigned group practice.
- Serves as a liaison between the practice and assigned group practice.
- Assists and acts in a confidential capacity to help manage, formulate, determine, and effectuate management processes and policies.
- Attends management meetings and may be involved directly or indirectly in the decision-making process around confidential management decisions.
- Oversees the operational responsibility for the routing business and clinical functions through administrative and clinical staff.
- Maintains patient flow through the practice to ensure appropriate utilization of physician time and staff coverage.
- Maintains patient registration and data entry into the system for timeliness, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Handles patient complaints and reviews charges, visit encounters, and cash receipts for daily.
- Provides physician and staff training as required.
- Identifies practice/business development opportunities to increase the practices market share.
- Recommends implementation/purchase of new services/equipment.
- Monitors and oversees daily/monthly expenditures, staffing, and overtime hours.
- Evaluates each employee's performance and provides appropriate guidance and feedback.
- Maintains the on-going training and communication of changes in policies and procedures through feedback to staff and staff meetings.
- Develops and implements new procedures and processes to improve quality and quantity of program.
Requirements
- Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms.
- Handling difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
- Understanding and following instructions.
- Exercising sound and independent judgment.
- Knowledge and skill in using job-appropriate technology and software applications.
- A valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
