Practice Manager
About the Role
The Practice Manager provides effective leadership and creates a culture of accountability for ambulatory care operations, including excellence in patient and caregiver safety, quality assurance of care, patient experience, equity, patient access to care, financial stewardship (including budget management), caregiver engagement, and growth. This role makes employment decisions such as hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action. It also supports ancillary services like human resources and information systems.
The Practice Manager typically oversees 5 to 13 Physicians and/or APPs, 12-30 caregivers, and 1 to 4 clinics, potentially managing multiple specialties across a market, which may require some travel. This role may include oversight of up to 3 direct leader reports.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a vision for the practice to achieve department goals.
- Lead and foster the development of direct reports and front office staff.
- Work effectively in a matrixed organization and influence non-direct reports.
- Manage a department budget and address issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients.
- Ensure effective communication, interpersonal relations, and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to create a culture of accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise, and coach front office staff.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets, and advanced applications (e.g., databases or presentations).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- 2 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Location: American Fork Specialty Clinic, American Fork, Utah.
Pay
Hourly range: $34.01 - $52.51 (dependent upon experience).
Schedule
Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
