About Our Client: Lap of Love is a national practice specializing exclusively in in-home end-of-life care for pets. The organization addresses the challenge of providing compassionate, supportive experiences for pets and their families during this difficult time by offering quality of life assessments, pain and anxiety management, end-of-life consultations, and peaceful euthanasia in the comfort of the pet’s home.

About the Opportunity: The PRACTICE MANAGER role supports the Practice Operations department by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and fostering a supportive work environment for associate veterinarians. This position enables veterinarians to focus on clinical care by managing schedules, resolving conflicts, and facilitating communication across teams. The role is critical in maintaining operational excellence and supporting the organizational culture that underpins the program’s service.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinarians to support their professional and personal satisfaction
• Serve as primary contact for approximately 20 veterinarians, managing schedules and PTO approvals
• Monitor appointments and address client concerns and escalations with empathy and efficiency
• Collaborate occasionally with external partners to ensure high-quality care and service for families
• Report updates and suggest improvements for standard operating procedures
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support doctors with systems and processes
• Update and maintain departmental metrics

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in business administration, management, leadership, or related administrative processes required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience in clinical veterinary medicine, practice management, or veterinary operations preferred
• Strong commitment to client service excellence
• Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow up meticulously
• High attention to detail and ability to adapt to new processes

Pay

Salary range: $57,000 - $59,000
