Postdoctoral Scholar in Liquid Biopsies and Cancer Biology

About the role

The Tabrizi Lab at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine seeks two Postdoctoral Scholars to join a team focused on leveraging liquid biopsies for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects studying the biology of extracellular nucleic acids
  • Study the modulation of extracellular nucleic acids for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
  • Apply these technologies to track normal tissue toxicity and tumor response during cancer therapy
  • Present findings at national and international meetings
  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals

Requirements

  • PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree
  • Background in molecular biology, genomics, cancer biology, and/or bioengineering
  • Previous experience in immunology and with mouse models preferred but not required
  • Strong track record of productivity
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

  • Outstanding and highly motivated candidate
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency preferred
