Qualifications

Open to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree,
experience in cancer biology and/or mouse genetics,
a strong record of productivity,
and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent research projects using advanced genetically engineered mouse models, 3D organoid cultures, single-cell omics, patient sample analyses, and other approaches.
• Contribute to cutting-edge research and help advance the frontiers of cancer biology.
• Present work broadly and publish discoveries in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

The Carman Li Lab studies hereditary cancer development and their implications for sporadic cancer interception. A special focus is on breast cancer driven by germline mutations in the tumor suppressor gene BRCA1.
