About the role

The Tabrizi Lab at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine is seeking two Postdoctoral Scholars to join our team. Our lab focuses on leveraging liquid biopsies, including cell-free DNA, for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects focused on studying the biology of extracellular nucleic acids
  • Study the modulation of extracellular nucleic acids for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
  • Apply these technologies to important clinical challenges such as tracking normal tissue toxicity and tumor response during cancer therapy
  • Present findings at national and international meetings
  • Publish discoveries in peer-reviewed journals

Requirements

  • PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree
  • Background in molecular biology, genomics, cancer biology, and/or bioengineering
  • Previous experience in immunology and with mouse models preferred but not required
  • Strong track record of productivity
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
