Post Operative Nurse

About the Role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, including patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis. Utilize advanced technology such as telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, and communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform skills including EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures (e.g., endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Manage airway devices such as Bi-PAP and ventilators.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including PCNAs, Interns, and providers.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Ohio RN licensure.
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must obtain within specified timeframes if not already held).
• For PRN roles: at least one year of RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
