Post Operative Nurse

About the role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, primarily managing patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Interns, Providers, PT, and OT staff to deliver comprehensive care to a 14-bed unit.

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs
• Care for central lines
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies)
• Utilize advanced technology like rescue Bi-Pap, high-flow oxygen, and vents
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in critical care procedures

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Relevant RN experience for PRN roles

Qualifications (Preferred)

• BSN degree
• Professional certifications recognized by the Magnet designation
