Post Operative Nurse

About the role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs and provide central line care
• Manage rescue Bi-PAP, high-flow oxygen, trachs, and vents
• Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Interns, Providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT) to deliver comprehensive care
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Relevant RN experience for PRN roles
• All required certifications at time of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Organization
