About the Role
Provide patient-centered care to diverse populations in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, including patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis. Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT) staff.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced technology such as telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, and communication tools
- Perform EKG interpretation
- Manage central lines
- Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies
- Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills
Unit Details
- 14-bed unit with state-of-the-art equipment
- Rotating shift schedule, including weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN licensure in Ohio
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- For PRN roles: at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and current certifications upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation
