About the role
Committed to providing exceptional guest service, the Poker Room Supervisor must be experienced in all games and must be able to supervise Poker personnel in a proficient manner, according to the Company’s policies and procedures and applicable gaming regulations. This position is responsible for making sound decisions in the best interest of the company, evaluating and mentoring Poker personnel, and assisting Assistant and Poker Managers with coaching and training Poker personnel for success and improvement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate bank and ensure all assets are guarded and protected at all times.
- Manage, direct, and supervise all personnel on a shift-to-shift basis.
- Evaluate business levels and maintain appropriate staffing while maximizing labor and minimizing payroll expense.
- Fulfill all guest service needs including host, cashier, verification, and payment of jackpots, bonus hands, and wheel spins.
- Maintain accurate records for all daily promotions. Generate player cards, comp slips, and ensure accurate player tracking.
- Take and place food orders with the necessary follow-up to ensure the order arrives timely and accurately.
- Maintain payroll records, protect and control all department keys and assets.
- Maintain an attentive presence in the poker room and make circumspect observations of dealer activities to ensure compliance with technical dealing procedures.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Nevada Gaming Registration Required.
- Knowledge of poker games and thorough understanding of poker rules with a strong ability to make consistent accurate floor decisions.
- Determine and prioritize the relevant issues and render a decision with an explanation of reason while educating the players through the decision-making process.
- Must be able to work within a team-oriented environment with strong communication and guest service skills.
- Must adhere to all appearance standards, including but not limited to no "visible" tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors.
