Poker Supervisor - Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise and coach hourly team members.
  • Maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Schedule dealer team breaks and table assignments.
  • Report all room, staffing, guest, or dealer needs directly to Poker Manager.
  • Supervise and manage waitlist, player tracking, dealer tap ins, and general room procedures.
  • Create, enroll, start, supervise, pay, and close poker tournaments according to TDA guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and rules, including State Poker regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal regulations including IRS; interact with state gaming regulatory commission as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints and issues.
  • Implement and enforce all departmental and organizational policies, rules, and procedures during events and games.
  • Manage and control poker and dealer banks, cash handling, chip fills, chip running, and distribution.
  • Record, report, and verify payment for all room promotions.
  • Update, print, control, and distribute poker reports daily.
  • Manage and update poker room MTL and CTR.
  • Provide accurate accounting of guest hourly play.
  • Maintain and supervise food and drink safety controls for poker room.
  • Run food and ice to and from room.
  • Ensure cleanliness of poker room.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

Requirements

  • Understanding of and compliance with all Title 31 rules and regulations.
  • Computer skills with the ability to navigate, update, and create reports using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Bravo, and Synkros.
  • Ability to listen and respond to guest and team member inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language for communication with guests and team members.
  • Strong knowledge of all poker rules and regulations, with the ability to coach these rules to guests and team members.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and task completion skills.
  • Skills in compiling, coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • 1 year of previous dealing experience and supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.

Physical Demands

  • Constantly standing, walking, bending over; occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, crouching, and kneeling during shifts.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs constantly.
  • Constant repetitive use of both hands, requiring light and firm/strong grasping motions.
  • Constant finger dexterity of both hands.
  • Constant use of vision abilities including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

Work Environment

Work is performed indoors, often alone and frequently with others. Involves face-to-face interactions, including verbal contact, during extended shifts around moving objects, computer equipment, electrical devices, and other mechanical devices. The noise level is loud. May be exposed to dirt, dust, odor, and/or secondhand smoke.
