Position Summary
This position provides administrative and technical support for physician and provider onboarding across Banner Health. It supports the strategic growth initiatives of Banner Medical Group, Banner University Medical Group, BHN, Banner Urgent Care, and Banner Health. The coordinator ensures all human‑resource employment requirements are met, partners with Credentialing and the CVO, and assists facility and medical‑group leadership with onboarding tasks, reporting, and process improvements.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the assigned recruiter and hiring authority to prepare, gain approval for, and maintain accurate open recruitment profiles.
- Enter accurate applicant and candidate data—including status, CV, communications, and other relevant information—into the database.
- Create complex site‑visit itineraries and coordinate participation across Banner Medical Group Regional, Banner University Medical Group, C‑Suites, facility leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Manage expenses and submit reimbursement requests with supporting documentation in compliance with Banner policy and regulatory guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison for payroll and benefits issues.
- Act as contract coordinator when needed: enter contract requests into the legal database, brief details upon execution, and validate that contract terms align with company policy.
- Monitor BCAP and position requisition data fields to ensure accurate flow through the recruitment process.
- Oversee the onboarding and pre‑boarding process for all physicians, providers, and residents system‑wide.
- Engage leadership on credentialing and position‑acceptance status, ensuring all parties are informed of responsibilities.
- Serve as the single point of contact for new physicians, providers, and residents throughout onboarding/pre‑boarding, tracking multiple hires simultaneously.
- Evaluate data and systems for ease of access, improvement opportunities, accuracy, reporting, and process flow; collaborate on enhancements.
- Assist leadership with training and development related to the complexity of physician, provider, and resident onboarding.
- Manage human‑resource requirements (I‑9, pre‑employment physical, background report, credentialing) and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support program roll‑out and educate leaders, practice managers, supervisors, and administrators on onboarding processes.
- Orient facility personnel to HR (MyHR) and payroll systems, including IT access, time‑clock processes, and self‑service tools.
- Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and professional standards.
- Provide excellent service experiences by consistently demonstrating Banner’s core and leader behaviors.
- Support internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction, maintaining thorough knowledge of department services.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert in written and verbal communication, ensuring policy and regulatory compliance through reliable, accurate, and timely employee data.
- Serve a diverse customer base that includes physicians, providers, residents, C‑Suite leaders, and other HR team members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
- Two to three years of experience in human resources or the healthcare industry, with generalist, recruiting, and onboarding expertise.
- Proven success in a high‑volume, multi‑faceted role requiring exceptional customer service, critical thinking, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize.
- Exceptional customer‑relations and computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanor at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialing knowledge and/or experience.
- Additional related education and/or experience.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8‑hour days with some flexibility. The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite work.
