About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, patient education, and exercise instruction to enhance patient well-being following a plan of care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise PT directives, performing only qualified procedures.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers within scope of practice.
• Adapt to diverse home environments and patient needs.

Requirements

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or reliable transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotations.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification.
• Physical ability for mobility assistance.
