About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being following a plan of care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise treatment as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers within scope of practice.

Requirements

• Licensed, certified, or registered to practice physical therapy in the state.
• CPR certification and valid driver’s license with access to transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home environments and perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
