About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant performs treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance well-being, following a prescribed plan of care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state laws and collaborate with supervising PT to deliver appropriate care.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes, coordinating with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers within the scope of practice.

Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
• CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home environments and handle physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
