About the role

Implement treatment plans, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education to enhance patient well-being within the scope of practice under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws and supervise physical therapy procedures as defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, functional activities, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Coordinate care with team members and educate patients, families, and caregivers within the scope of physical therapy.
• Perform effectively in diverse home care settings regardless of client demographics.

Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the relevant state.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to dependable transportation, or reliable public transit.
• Availability for weekend rotations.

Preferred Skills

• CPR certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and mobility assistance.
