About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant performs treatment, patient education, and exercise instruction to enhance patient well-being, adhering to a supervised treatment plan.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise treatment plans set by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor, record, and report patient responses and condition changes.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members and educate patients, families, and caregivers within scope.
• Adapt to diverse home environments, ensuring inclusive care.

Requirements

• Current licensure, registration, or certification in physical therapy assistance.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotation.
• Preferred CPR certification and physical ability for patient mobility tasks.
