Physical Therapist (PT) - Long Term Acute Care

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in a long-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing patient assessments
• Designing and implementing treatment programs to improve physical function and reduce pain
• Supervising physical therapy assistants and support staff
• Providing patient education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation
• Administering therapies using equipment such as ultrasound, moist packs, and physical agents
• Evaluating, fitting, and modifying prosthetic and orthotic devices
• Documenting goals, progress, and plans for reevaluation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
• Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently
• Ability to handle stressful environments and take appropriate action
