Physical Therapist - Full-Time, Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to administer standard physical therapy treatments for patients with disabilities, injuries, and diseases.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician orders and develop effective treatment plans.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge forms in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members and community resources to promote patient independence and discharge readiness.
• Supervise treatments administered by PT assistants and aides, ensuring quality care.
• Attend team meetings, case conferences, and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Provide patient and family education, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use.
• Maintain skills inventory, complete required certifications, and orient new staff.
• Adhere to confidentiality, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• One to two years of related experience or equivalent.
• Valid California Physical Therapy license and current BLS certification.
• Valid California driver’s license and automobile insurance if travel is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and relate effectively with patients and staff.
