About the role

Physical Therapist Assistant responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and assisting with exercises to improve patient well-being in a home care setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws and supervise treatment only within the scope of practice under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about therapy within scope of practice.

Requirements

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance in the state.
• CPR certification, valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home environments and handle physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
• Availability to work a weekend rotation.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $28.00 to $42.00 per hour, based on experience and location.
