Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Role Overview Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercises. Instructs patients in functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Works with minimal supervision and may mentor staff on technical skills. Qualifications & Skills High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Technical Degree preferredAt least two years of technical experience preferredExperience in acute care, outpatient, or therapy settings preferredPhysical Therapy Assistant licensure in applicable states requiredCPR/BLS certification requiredValid driver’s license and age at least 21 required Key Responsibilities Perform physical therapy interventions, including modalities and manual techniquesGuide patients through functional activities and monitor responses, reporting changes to supervising cliniciansDocument treatments accurately and timely in patient recordsEducate and train patients and caregivers, adapting to individual learning stylesPerform additional duties as assigned Additional Notes Must adhere to organizational safety policies, including vaccination requirements.
