About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being, following a plan of care established by a supervising Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and only perform procedures within training and qualification, making recommendations for care adjustments to the supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members within the scope of practice.
• Adapt to diverse home environments and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in Oregon.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotations.

Skills

• CPR certification.
• Physical ability for mobility tasks.
