Physical Therapist Assistant, Home Health

Assists in providing physical therapy treatments and performing procedures. May, in accordance with State laws and regulations, assist in the development of treatment plans, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments within scope of the plan of care established by the supervising physical therapist. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May serve as clinical instructor for assigned students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures
• Help develop treatment plans under state laws and regulations
• Document progress of treatment and modify treatments within the established plan of care
• Adhere to privacy and safety regulations while delivering patient care
• Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Handle hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 guidelines (manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose, or administer)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Registered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• 1 year of recent relevant experience

Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts
• Days of the week: Monday – Friday (variable)
• Weekend requirements: Rotating weekends

Pay

Pay range is $39.46 to $55.24 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on geographic location, candidate experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
