Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Role Overview

Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise methods. Guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance exercises.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs therapy interventions, observing and following treatment precautions.
• Documents patient interventions and services accurately and timely.
• Educates and trains patients and caregivers, tailoring approaches to learning styles.
• Monitors patient responses, reporting changes to supervising staff.
• May mentor and train staff on technical skills and perform other related duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's/Technical Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of technical experience preferred, especially in acute care or outpatient settings.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in applicable states required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Valid driver's license and age of at least 21 required.
• Committed to safety and wellbeing, with vaccination requirements applicable.
• Must adhere to organizational policies and participate in E-Verify.
