Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Role Overview: Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise methods to support patient recovery and mobility. Key Responsibilities Conducts physical therapy interventions, guiding patients through activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance exercises.Monitors patient responses, adheres to treatment precautions, and reports changes to healthcare professionals.Documents interventions, treatments, and patient progress accurately and timely.Educates and trains patients and caregivers, tailoring approaches to individual learning styles and assessing understanding.Mentors and trains staff on technical skills as needed.Performs additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High School diploma or GED required; associate’s/technical degree or equivalent preferred.Minimum two years of technical experience preferred, with background in acute care, outpatient, or therapy settings.Valid Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in applicable states.CPR/BLS certification from approved vendors.Valid driver’s license and age of at least 21 years. Additional Requirements: Commitment to safety, including vaccination policies, and participation in E-Verify. Strong communication, observational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
