Phlebotomist FLOAT (Brooklyn, NY) - Part Time w/ Benefits

The company is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join the team in Brooklyn, NY, offering the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, team members, and clinic locations while gaining broad experience and continuous growth.

Schedule

25 hours per week; Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 9:00 am – 1:30 pm, and every Saturday 8:00 am – 12:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or training must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 – $26.00 per hour. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary employees, are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan only.
