About the role

Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through specialty pharmacy. We're hiring a Pharmacy Technician - Outreach Eligibility Specialist to support the growth of the specialty pharmacy program by identifying eligible patients, completing benefits investigations, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct benefits investigations using approved tools and pharmacy systems
• Review medical records to confirm current medication needs
• Document all findings clearly and accurately
• Partner with team members to ensure high‑quality, coordinated patient care
• Identify trends, solve problems, and contribute to process improvements
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ongoing job knowledge
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• State-registered (Louisiana) Pharmacy Technician; CPhT preferred
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication, organization, and tech skills
• Empathy, integrity, and a team-first mindset
• Solid computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as navigating the internet and web-based platforms
