What You'll Do
Your Role: Under the direct supervision* of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, you will perform a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system.
- Maintain confidential reports
- Enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system
- Filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications
- Procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies
- Delivering supplies to patient care areas
What You Need
Reports To: Director/Pharmacy (JC: 039358), Supervisor/Pharmacy (JC: 024601), or Pharmacist (JC: 021702)
Supervises: None
Requirements
- Must be registered with the State of Florida and preparing to take the Tech 1 test***
- Required Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy (FLBOP) approved pharmacy technician training program.
- Required Experience: None
- Preferred Experience: Six (6) to twelve (12) months of pharmacy experience.
- Required Certification/License/Registry: FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician).
- CPhT credential from the PTCB or the NHA within one (1) year post-hire.
