Responsibilities
- Serve as a SME for PFAS nationwide.
- Lead the development of the national strategy for PFAS projects for public and private clients
- Cook up with office teams and technical experts to develop PFAS business growth strategies and support business opportunity pipeline growth
- Work with regional leadership to ensure the right resources are in place to execute the PFAS strategy
- Market and promote PFAS technical capabilities and develop strong relationships with clients
- Develop major PFAS pursuits and develop capture plans that align with the business development strategy and technical capabilities
- Cook up and lead technical expertise across the organization (and external partners) to support PFAS pursuits
- Support innovative technology development and demonstrations
- Research, develop, and commercialize PFAS destruction technologies
- Engage in the technical delivery or review of work and/or project management, as appropriate and as needed
- Support project execution for PFAS contamination fate and transport, data and statistical analysis, and remedial design
- Provide technical direction to assist selecting and implementing remediation technologies for complex contaminated sites
- Perform technical evaluations of deliverables to ensure technical accuracy
- Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions, and achieve revenue, margin, backlog, and other related financial and business goals
- Support the identification and mitigation of risks during the pursuit process
- Support client satisfaction by exceeding client expectations through delivery of services and interacting with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner
- Cook up with technical experts to align skills with market trends and to drive strategic technical leadership hires
- Interface and collaborate with UK, European, Australian and Canadian operations in relation to PFAS
- Attend conferences, meetings and events to promote PFAS capabilities through presentations and direct discussions with clients.
- Communicate priorities and progress to Operations Management and Corporate support
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: >5 years of related business development experience, >15 years of professional and project management experience in consulting engineering firm •Professional registration preferred •Advanced degree in Engineering or Science preferred •Experience meeting operational and sales goals. •Proven Business Development experience with PFAS and emerging contaminants in a design consulting firm •Leadership position in a water or remediation-related technical association •Strategic planning experience •Extensive knowledge of regulations and treatment of PFAS in water, wastewater, groundwater, sediments, and soil •Business acumen related to project and company financials and risk management •Understanding of sales pipeline health, backlog, book-to-burn
