About the role
As a Collector II, you will handle outbound collection calls on Consumer and 1-4 RE Portfolio/Serviced Loans from 15 to 120+ days past due. You will evaluate the client’s current financial situation, negotiate repayment resolutions, monitor Charged-Off Loans, and oversee the Repossession and Liquidation Process of motorized vehicles and boats. Additionally, you will field inbound calls for quality client service and research non-delinquency questions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the client’s current financial situation and negotiate repayment resolutions
- Monitor Charged-Off Loans and assign them to third-party Collection Agencies
- Oversight of the Repossession and Liquidation Process for motorized vehicles and boats
- Field inbound calls for quality client service and research non-delinquency questions
- Build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates
- Treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2+ years in direct collection, client contact, and service
- Previous banking and financial work experience preferred
- Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant job experience preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mortgage loans and all other consumer loans
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and have some understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to be a self-starter and be detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a team environment

Work Environment
Office setting with traditional hours. Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours). Must be able to work overtime to the extent necessary.
