Job Summary

Responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person. Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes patient in person
  • Collections demographic and insurance information
  • Checks in or interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork
  • Directs patient to their appointment or procedure
  • May assist in scheduling add-on appointments
  • Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results
  • Obtains signatures from patients as needed
  • Collects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available. Refers complex questions as needed
  • Uses resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues
  • Aids patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate department
  • Gathers medical record information from all departments for collection

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work on a Per Diem basis, within 1st shift, 2nd shift, or 3rd shift
  • Ability to work standard daytime hours, Monday-Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Revenue cycle experience
  • General office experience
  • Flexibility to occasionally work other shifts as business requires

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
