The Job

In short, as the Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, reviewing, and processing payroll data for multiple companies across multiple states using Workday for payroll, while ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time and providing exceptional service to internal partners.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and processing payroll data for multiple companies and multiple states using Workday
  • Running daily, weekly, and monthly payroll and audit reports
  • Reviewing and auditing incoming employee data from Workday self-service and onboarding workflows
  • Responding to payroll-related questions, researching discrepancies, and resolving pay issues
  • Calculating and processing retroactive pay adjustments
  • Verifying and auditing payroll information prior to payroll transmission
  • Processing manual checks when necessary
  • Managing and responding to payroll help-desk tickets with a customer-first mindset

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of payroll experience required; payroll tax knowledge strongly desired
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations
  • Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment with Workday and related systems
  • Proven ability to deliver superb customer service, with a strong emphasis on phone support

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
