About the role

Responsibilities
- Accurately process weekly payroll, including reviewing timecards and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain and update payroll-related records.
- Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries into the accounting system.
- Maintain and reconcile company PPE files for safety shoes and eye protection benefits.
- Compile and communicate timely information for deductions and payouts.
- Research and code accounts payable invoices, reconcile to vendor statements, and process monthly payments.
- Review and process specialized vendors for accounts payable.
- Follow up on aged invoices and resolve issues.
- Process daily accounts receivable invoicing.
- Collaborate with the accounting department and Door Group Accounting personnel for daily, weekly, or month-end activities and reporting.
- Monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Aid in the collection of inter-company receivables for payroll manager.
- Enter petty cash transactions.
- Maintain standard work instructions within the accounting department.
- Resolve work constraints and provide best practice solutions.
- Answer employee, supervisor, or manager questions via various communication methods during shift hours.
- Follow up on off-shift questions within 24 hours.
- Assist with other assignments as requested.
- Absolutely ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- 3-5 years of payroll, accounts payable/receivable experience.
- Excellent communication, follow-up, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and accounting principles.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll software.
