Patient Services Supervisor - Food

Role Overview: Patient Services Supervisors oversee the receipt, interpretation, and fulfillment of patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. They serve as a liaison between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services, ensuring timely delivery of nourishments and snacks as prescribed. They supervise and support Patient Services Workers, providing training and leadership. Key Responsibilities Supervise meal service and deliver patient nourishments.Visit patients to introduce services and gather food preferences.Communicate patient food needs to relevant departments.Ensure adherence to nutrition care orders and sanitation standards.Maintain inventory, temperature logs, and support therapeutic diet protocols.Assist clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition needs. Qualifications & Skills Experience as a Patient Services Supervisor.Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and attention to detail skills.Proficiency in English; bilingual abilities are a plus. Physical Demands: Role may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing, along with the use of PPE and uniforms.
