About the role

The Patient Services Coordinator is the first line of contact for all patient programs, providing an exceptional patient experience through telephonic service, triaging documentation, and initiating patient setup. This role also acts as secondary support for the care teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all faxes, including uploading to the patient database and assigning to the correct Care Team member.
  • Place outgoing and receive inbound telephone calls, routing appropriately; resolve patient issues without escalation when possible.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of protected health information; follow HIPAA security policies and procedures.
  • Complete data entry tasks; enter and set up new patients in the database.
  • Compile new patient packets and mail them out in a timely manner.
  • Perform clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Provide special project support as necessary.
  • Assign follow-ups to the appropriate team members.
  • Act as a backup to the receptionist.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
  • Administrative experience, including proficiency with computer-based applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt and handle unexpected situations.
  • Ability to obtain Missouri Pharmacy Technician registration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service, phone, and clerical experience.

Skills

  • First point of contact to triage inbound phone calls.
  • Data entry and patient setup in database.
  • Clerical duties (photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing).
  • Special project support.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Environment

This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to stand and/or sit for long periods (up to 90%). Regularly required to talk, hear, type, and engage in repetitive motion. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stoop, crouch, push, pull, or kneel. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires mental alertness, including the ability to communicate verbally and in writing, concentrate on tasks, remember and observe details, adjust to changes, handle stress, and think analytically. Operates in a professional office environment with moderate noise levels, frequent interruptions, and multiple demands.

Pay

This role is eligible for hire in select U.S. locations based on business and operational considerations. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). If this job posting includes a base salary range, it represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position within the U.S. EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range and benefits at any time.
