Patient Registrar-Physical Therapy- Hudson Valley
About the Role
As a Patient Registrar, you will assist patients with questions and concerns, keep families informed, and deliver superior customer service to our diverse local community. You will register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details and insurance information, ensure proper scheduling, record patient history, and obtain pre-certification and authorization. You will serve as a calm and reassuring presence for patients navigating their hospital experience.
This is a full-time position with varied hours from 7am to 8pm, based at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital (1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY). Travel to offsite locations, including NewYork-Presbyterian in Cold Spring (1756 NY-9D, Cold Spring, NY 10516), will be required at times.
Responsibilities
- Register patients for procedures and appointments.
- Obtain and verify demographic details and insurance information.
- Ensure proper scheduling of patient appointments.
- Record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization.
- Provide a reassuring and supportive presence for patients and families.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital procedures, routines, regulations, and medical terminology is preferred.

Pay
Salary range: $29.90–$34.15 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time position with varied hours between 7am and 8pm, including occasional travel to offsite locations.
