Patient Registrar - Hudson Valley Medical Group

Location: Yorktown Heights, New York. Shift: Day. All roles require on‑site presence; employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

About the role

Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. In this role, you will navigate our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre‑certification and authorization. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. This is a full‑time 40‑hour work week located at our Hudson Valley practice in Cortlandt Manor. Hours may vary based on operational needs. Must be willing to travel and provide coverage across the various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed including Croton‑On‑Hudson & Cold Spring.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the EMR to register patients for procedures and appointments
• Obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification
• Ensure proper scheduling
• Record patient history
• Obtain pre‑certification and authorization
• Travel and provide coverage across Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed

Requirements

• At least one year of clerical and customer service experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Completed some college coursework
• Familiarity with health insurance requirements
• Experience working in a busy medical practice
• Knowledge of ICD/CPT coding

Pay

Salary range: $29.00–$34.15 per hour. Compensation packages include competitive base pay plus recognition for experience, education, and licensure.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40‑hour work week. Hours may vary based on operational needs; travel coverage across Hudson Valley locations may be required.
