Senior Patient Registrar - Admitting

NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital seeks a Senior Patient Registrar to assist patients with questions and concerns, keep families informed, and provide a calming presence during their hospital experience.

About the role

This is a full-time night shift (11pm – 7am with rotating weekends & holidays) position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments
• Obtain demographic details and insurance information
• Ensure proper scheduling
• Record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients
• Provide a calm and reassuring presence to patients

Requirements

• At least one year of clerical experience supported by a high school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of hospital procedures, routines, regulations, and medical terminology
• EPIC experience preferred
• Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first
• Detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently
• Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties on demand
