Patient Financial Counselor
About the role
Identifies and coordinates all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients. Includes patient relations, physician liaison regarding financial liabilities, deposit estimates and collection.
Responsibilities
- Responds to and documents customer needs and/or complaints related to financial services in a timely and professional manner.
- Affirms that customer needs and/or complaints related to financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner.
- Supports organizational goals, system improvements and recovery strategies throughout the organization.
Requirements
Associate's Degree or Additional experience may be substituted for no degree. 3 years Experience in patient financial services or medical billing in a hospital business office or five years of experience without degree.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
