Patient Financial Counselor

Position

The Patient Financial Counselor partners with Social Workers/Care Coordinators/Case Managers and other members of a patient's care team to assist patients with navigating their insurance benefits, applying for benefits, including financial assistance, and understanding their financial responsibilities for emergency department care, acute hospital care, post-acute care, and outpatient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required. Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licensures/Certifications: Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)/American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM), or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)/Healthcare Financial Management Association desirable
