About the role

As a Patient Admissions Coordinator, you are the welcoming voice patients hear at the start of their care journey. You combine compassion with organization, confidence with clarity—making complex healthcare processes feel simple, supportive, and human. Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and families, providing clear and compassionate guidance throughout the admission process.
  • Assisting with insurance verification and eligibility checks.
  • Entering patient information into electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic.
  • Managing patient scheduling and coordinating with other departments.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Adhering to hospital policies and procedures related to patient admissions.

Requirements

  • A degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • National Certification of CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate).
  • At least 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business Office settings.
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes.
  • Experience using medical billing software.
  • Knowledge of Epic applications.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $19.40 - $29.08 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This position is part-time and works multiple shifts available.
