Patient Admissions Coordinator - On Call, Variable Shift
About the role
The Patient Access Representative assists patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits. They complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts and collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
- Complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts.
- Gather accurate demographic and insurance information for unscheduled visits.
- Collect patient liability (if known) at the time of service.
- Greet and serve patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner.
- Document information timely and accurately while adhering to regulations and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
- 3 years experience within Patient Access or Business office setting.
- Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
- Knowledge in medical billing codes.
- Knowledge of Epic Applications.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $24.00 - $31.52 per hour.
