Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and families, providing clear and compassionate guidance throughout the admissions process.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Managing insurance verification and eligibility processes efficiently.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to patient registration and scheduling.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay updated on healthcare regulations and best practices.

Requirements

  • A degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • National Certification of CHAA preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business Office settings.
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes.
  • Experience with Epic applications.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
