Part-Time Switchboard Operator

About the role

We are looking for someone responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer service and assisting in the operations of a large telephone switchboard and computerized database of telephone information.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route calls in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by being courteous and pleasant when answering each call.
• Professionally answer customer inquiries with a commonsense approach.
• Assist customers and branches with debit card exemptions for travel notifications while following bank, regulatory, and legal compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.

Working Conditions

Individuals in this position must be able to perform essential functions and physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Office environment within a climate-controlled facility that can be high traffic during peak service times.

• Large amount of over-the-phone interaction with customers.
• Typically seated at a personal desk for most of the day, which may be in the basement.

• Scheduling flexibility with regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work varying hours.
