Flexible Schedule | No Lesson Planning or Outside Work | One-to-One Instruction At Brightmont Academy, we redefine teaching by providing personalized, nurturing learning environments for students from 1st to 12th grade. The special education teacher uses the APEX Learning curriculum and provides necessary accommodations and modifications based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure student success.

Responsibilities

- Use the APEX Learning curriculum - Provide accommodations and modifications based on IEPs - Tailor lessons to individual student needs and learning styles - Guide students towards mastery with a gradual release approach - Focus on building confidence and academic success - Avoid administrative tasks such as lesson planning, parent conferences, and grading - Participate in professional development opportunities

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree and Special Education experience - Patience and empathy for diverse learners - Passion for teaching and sharing knowledge - Proficiency with Google Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS) - Ability to provide fingerprints (for Arizona and Washington residents) and pass a federal background check
