Part-Time Instructor in Special Education
Job Description And Position Requirements
Penn State Altoona invites applications for a part-time instructor position with expertise in Special Education. Candidates for the position must hold a minimum of a master’s degree. Experience in PreK-12 classrooms is preferred. Classes will be offered in-person. Teaching opportunities include:
- Special education law
- Assessment in inclusive settings
- Applied behavior Analysis
- Evidence-based methods for instruction in reading, mathematics, and writing
Additional opportunities could include courses in trauma-based pedagogy and autism, as well as other content that fit within the needs of the Elementary and Early Childhood Education program.

Part-time teaching is for the 2026-2027 academic year.
