Part-Time Residential Care Worker

About the role

Adult Residential Support Professional responsible for providing care, support, and supervision to residents in addiction treatment and restorative justice programs.

Responsibilities

• Support, monitor, and serve as a positive role model for residents
• Document behaviors, maintain records, and share updates confidentially
• Assist with housekeeping, medication administration, and emergency response
• Help residents achieve treatment goals and develop life skills
• Transport residents, lead educational activities, and provide basic first aid
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required; coursework toward a bachelor's in social services preferred
• Previous experience in similar settings preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team skills
• Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to pass motor vehicle check
• Basic computer skills; ability to follow directions and work independently

• Physical ability to perform duties, including standing, walking, and outdoor activities
• Ability to work in a community-based residential environment
• Willingness to travel for resident transportation and activities
